You're already a capable rider. This is where you go deeper.
You might already be riding “well” yet still feel like every ride requires constant input. Constant correction. Constant effort.
Maybe nothing is technically wrong… but something doesn’t feel right in your body.
The Power of Walk is for riders who wonder if there’s another way. A way where the horse is truly with you by choice, not compliance. Where aids become so subtle they feel like thoughts. Where movement feels shared instead of managed.
This is for riders who long to stop pushing and instead experience their horse offering willing, joyful forward energy from the gentlest request.
This is for riders who want a partnership that feels effortless and alive.
If this resonates, you’re in the right place.

"This kind of riding isn't reserved for the naturally gifted. It's a skill you can learn."
In my early twenties, I had one clear dream: to ride in complete harmony.
I studied, qualified, and worked at riding centres throughout the UK. Outwardly, I was successful. Inwardly, I knew something was missing.
I was passing the advanced tests but the joyful, harmonious riding I longed for wasn’t there.
Deep down, I knew I was relying too much on my legs and hands. Riding felt louder in my body than it should have. And no one seemed to be teaching a different way.
Two experiences changed everything.
The first was discovering my mentor, Heather Moffett, and the French classical technique known as School Walk.
The second was time spent with my Icelandic horse, Svalur where we slowed everything down completely. As we did, something unexpected happened. All his gaits improved so profoundly that we went on to win the British Championship.
But more importantly…
For the first time, riding stopped feeling like something I had to do to my horse and started feeling like something we were creating together.
That’s when I realised it. The secret to effortless riding had been hidden in the most overlooked gait of all: the walk.
The connection and lightness you find there flows into every other gait, every transition, every moment in the saddle.
Since embracing what I now call Slow Walk Work, everything has transformed.
My horses and I move in joyful harmony. They’re light, balanced, genuinely happy to be ridden. And I finally feel the deep connection I’d always been searching for.
This kind of riding isn’t reserved for the naturally gifted. It’s a skill you can learn.

Discover the Power of Walk
The Power of Walk is a practical, step-by-step online course designed to bring these changes to life with your own horse.
Here's how it works: short, focused video lessons guide you through specific techniques you'll practice with your horse. No lengthy lectures or information overload. Just clear instructions on exactly what to do.
You'll begin with in-hand work (don't worry if you've never done this before - full guidance is included), then progress to ridden work. The beauty of this approach is that just 20 minutes, three times a week, is enough to see substantial transformation in your horse.
The course unfolds over nine weeks, with one module per week, though you're welcome to move at a slower pace if that suits you and your horse. Each module builds naturally on the last, giving you and your horse time to absorb and integrate the work.
This is where practical steps unlock something extraordinary. Where the gap between the ride you're having and the ride you've always dreamed of finally begins to close.
